Thick 4to (278 x 193 mm). 61 hors-texte plates by Barbier, Brunelleschi, Taquoy, Vallée, Bonotte, Domergue and others, 58 with pochoir coloring by Jean Saudé (including duplicate of "L'Heure du Bain;" nearly every page with color illustrations including head- and tail-pieces. Period quarter teal morocco over marbled boards, spine gilt in compartments, upper wrapper of first issue (only) with pochoir illustration bound in. Occasional mild offsetting, spine evenly sunned, light shelfwear and bump to upper board.

This is the only complete set of all 11 issues we trace in the auction records of the past 30 years. La Guirlande represents a pinnacle of Art Deco illustration, Barbier and Brunelleschi were both at their creative best and were aided by many other fine illustrators.
