c.1987 Fantic 300cc Model 301 Trials
Frame no. 403
Engine no. 403
The Italians didn't begin making trials machines for a decade or more after the Spanish, but with characteristic speed they rapidly reached leader-board standard. Indeed, between 1981 and 1992 Italian machines won no less than 9 international World Trials Championships, of which three were gained by Fantic's brilliant French rider Thierry Michaud. Fantic's over-the-counter models were equally successful in period. This example has been extensively refurbished, including a powder coated frame, fork yokes & sliders, plus footrests. Likewise, its original (and undamaged) seat unit is enhanced by a re-sprayed fuel tank and the ultra clean engine. Subject to the appropriate mechanical checks the Fantic is ready for use. Offered without documentation.
