A limousine Roof-Trunk by Moynat of Paris, Edwardian,
in tan leathercloth with leather edging and side handles, brass rivers, corner reinforcers, lock and catches, designed with curve to base to fit onto the roof of a car, 120 x 54 x 25cm, some travel wear, the inside of the lid fitted with decorative maker's label and 'KDW Automobil Material' patch.

  • In 1904 Moynat patented 'trunk glides' which raised the curved trunk off the roof of the limousine and prevented the build up of moisture between trunk and car. They already had four other patents concerning roof luggage at that time.
