1965 Mercedes Benz 220SE Cabriolet
Chassis no. 11102110076385

1965 Mercedes Benz 220SE Cabriolet
Chassis no. 11102110076385

This beautiful 220SE cabriolet resided for many years in the South of France, thus escaping the ravages of bad weather, and has been preserved - we are advised - in solid useable condition. The car started life as a fixed-head coupé but was converted to cabriolet configuration by the Mercedes-Benz factory in 1970 at the behest of the first owner.

It is finished in a dark blue, the paintwork being in beautiful condition, as is the brightwork, while the black mohair hood is like new and easily folds away. The interior is trimmed in cream leather that shows a little wear but generally is in very serviceable condition. The striped rosewood accents are likewise in very good order.

Currently displaying a total of only 63,000 kilometres on the odometer, the car is said to be in superb mechanical condition and a joy to drive. The six-cylinder engine is described as powerful and smooth, delivering excellent performance in complete silent. Collected by the vendor from Condom in the Gers region of France, the Mercedes was driven across the Pyrenees to Bilbao to catch the ferry to the UK, performing without fault. The car is offered with all of its original books, sundry maintenance invoices, certificate of conformity and Netherlands registration papers.
