1989 Garelli 250cc Grand Prix Racing Motorcycle
First raced in 1985, Garelli's 250 Grand Prix racer failed to live up to expectations and never enjoyed anything like the success of the 125cc twin. Early on in its first season the aluminium monocoque chassis had been criticised for being too stiff and too low, yet despite various alternatives being tried the desired results never materialised.
The machine offered here represents a later development incorporating a Moretti aluminium twin-spar frame. This actual machine is featured on page 155 of 'Agrati Garelli: 80 anni di storia' by Daniele Agrati and Roberto Patrignani.

Engagée pour la première fois en 1986, la 250 Grand Prix de Garelli ne répondit pas aux attentes et ne connut pas le succès de la 125 twin. En tout début de saison, le cadre monocoque en aluminium fut critiqué apparaissant trop rigide et trop bas, mais malgré l'essai de solutions alternatives, les résultats espérés n'arrivèrent jamais.
