The machine offered here represents a later development of Garelli's 250cc Grand Prix racer, probably dating from 1988 when Team Pileri was entrusted with running the works effort. Paolo Casoli was the team's sole representative in the 250cc class but scored only three points all season. This actual machine is featured on page 156 of 'Agrati Garelli: 80 anni di storia' by Daniele Agrati and Roberto Patrignani.
