1986 Garelli 250cc Grand Prix Racing Motorcycle
First raced in 1985, Garelli's 250 Grand Prix racer failed to live up to expectations and never enjoyed anything like the success of the 125cc twin. Early on in its first season the aluminium monocoque chassis had been criticised for being too stiff and too low, yet despite various alternatives being tried the desired results never materialised.
The machine offered here represents an early development incorporating a Golinelli tubular steel frame. This actual machine is featured on page 154 of 'Agrati Garelli: 80 anni di storia' by Daniele Agrati and Roberto Patrignani.
