Arbinet Freres started in Gevrey Chambertin in the Burgundy wine-growing area, later moving to the more convenient city of Dijon. Their post-Great War production was of the 'vélomoteur' machines, much in demand in the period with their first advertising dating from 1924. The company remained in the small-production, hand-built sector of the market and production of motorcycles ceased in 1934, when the name passed to another concern in 1934. All of their motorcycle production used the engines available from other makers. Equipped with a Magnat Debon BSSC overhead-valve '350' in an 'AYA' frame, the individual sports machine offered here is now very rare indeed.

La firme Arbinet Frères débuta son activité à Gevrey-Chambertin au cur du vignoble bourguignon avant de se transférer sur un site plus adapté dans la ville de Dijon. Sa production après la Grande Guerre porta sur des vélomoteurs très demandés à l'époque, sa première publicité paraissant en 1924. La société resta une petite entreprise qui construisit des motocycles de manière artisanale jusqu'en 1934. Tous ses modèles étaient équipés de moteurs produits extérieurement. Dotée d'un moteur Magnat-Debon BSSC à soupapes en tête de 350 cm3 monté dans un cadre AYA, la machine sportive offerte ici est une rareté.
