Faced with declining sales in the important market sector for machines of up to 125cc (which could be ridden without a licence), Terrot revamped its '125' range for 1956, introducing the types EDL and EDV, both of which featured swinging-arm rear suspension. At the end of 1957 the 125cc range was further revised, with all models using a new twin-downtube cradle frame. There were now three offerings in the 125cc class: the basic Tenace, semi-enclosed Fleuron and sporting Ténor. All used the same four-stroke, overhead-valve engine, though with different power outputs, the most powerful and fastest being the Ténor, which had a top speed of 100km/h (62mph). Sadly, these new models were not enough to save Terrot, which was taken over by Peugeot in 1960. This un-restored example of one of Terrot's last motorcycles is offered with French Carte Grise normale.

    Confronté à une baisse des ventes sur l'important segment de marché des « moins de 125 cm3 » (utilisables sans permis), Terrot retoucha sa gamme « 125 » pour 1956 en introduisant les types EDL et EDV dotés tous les deux d'une suspension arrière à bras oscillant. À la fin de 1957, la gamme 125 fut encore révisée avec adoption sur tous les modèles d'un cadre à double berceau. Il existait alors trois offres en 125 : la Tenace de base, la Fleuron semi carénée et la sportive Ténor. Toutes ces motos utilisaient le même moteur à quatre temps à soupapes en tête offrant différents niveaux de puissance, la plus forte et la plus rapide étant la Ténor qui atteignait 100 km/h. Malheureusement, ces nouveautés ne suffirent pas à sauver Terrot que Peugeot racheta en 1960. Ce modèle non restauré d'un des derniers types de Terrot est offert avec sa carte grise française normale.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Like the vast majority of auctioneers Bonhams charge what is known as a Buyer's Premium. Buyer's Premium on all Automobilia lots will adhere to Bonhams group policy:

25% up to £50,000 of hammer price,
20% from £50,001 to £1,000,000 of hammer price,
and 12% on the balance thereafter. This applies to each lot purchased and is subject to VAT.

For Motor Cars and Motorcycles a 15% Buyer's Premium is payable on the first £50,000 of the final Hammer Price of each Lot, and 12% on any amount by which the Hammer Price exceeds £50,000. VAT at the standard rate is payable on the Premium by all Buyers, unless otherwise stated.

Some lots may be subject to VAT on the Hammer Price. These lots will be clearly marked with the relevant symbol printed beside the lot number in the catalogue.
