The painted gesso face with finely carved features, delicate chin and rouged cheeks, inserted black pupil-less glass eyes with two red dots to corners, painted lashes and eyebrows in one line with short dashes above and below, painted red mouth, nostril and carved detail to ears, remains of real hair woven into coarse linen nailed on wig, the painted and turned wooden torso with well formed bust and tapering to waist, having rounded hips and disc jointed at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, delicately carved hands with long fork fingers, and well formed painted legs and feet with detailed toes, wearing her original rose silk damask circular skirt and boned bodice with leading strings to back and fine muslin fichu, elbow-length sleeves with cotton engageantes and ruffles, quilted petticoat edged with colorfully embroidered flowers and foliage, a free hanging secret pocket with flower embroidery, and a cotton petticoat with embroidered edge, together with her cane hooped pannier, early quilted linen coif in three panels, two nightdresses one embroidered with the initials 'P.D', two night-caps, hanker-chief and secret pocket, (left hand with damage to four fingers, right with chip to index finger, gesso missing to tip of nose and small place on chin, bodice darned/repaired), 74cm (29in) tall.
