A gilt bronze figure of Amitayus
Qianlong
Elaborately cast, the regal figure portrayed seated in dhyanasana atop a double lotus pedestal, both hands held in dhyanamudra, his meditative face set with downcast eyes and a serene smile, his hair tied in high chignon and streaks falling loosely at the sides, framed by an elaborate foliate headdress, the pendulous ears hanging hardstone-inlaid earrings and necklaces, leaving the chest bare with a clothed sash swung over his left shoulder and his lower body clad in a simple dhoti finely incised at the hems, all finely adorned with jewelled armbands and bracelets.
16.7cm high.
