The exterior intricately worked in reticulation featuring a continuous scene of figures engaging in leisurely pursuits, including two ladies and an attendant playing weiqi in the woods, two boys playing qi by a lake with a younger boy depicted reading, a boy looking over their shoulders, the children playing with fireworks, gong and lantern, riding on a toy horse, flying a kite, all depicted within lush pine trees and rockworks, encased by a cylindrical zitan base and cover.
