A rare square jade 'landscape' box and cover
Ming dynasty, signed Jianghe Shanren
The base rising from from a short recessed feet, the curved body with straight sides surmounted by a gently domed fitted cover, the surface worked to a scene of a fisherman on a sampan by a small pavilion amongst watery landscape of lush growth and distant mountains, the rims framed by two keyfret borders, the base with four-character zhuanshu seal mark.
