A large and impressive bronze incense burner

Cast in sections and assembled as a large spherical burner supported by three shishi, the surface carved in relief with a central band of roundels containing confronted dragons on a tight geometric ground surrounded by scrolling vines and lappets below and dragons in clouds and lappets above, applied with two arch-backed shishi handles, the cover topped with a large and bold shishi with two playful cubs, the details of all animlas well-carved and the eyes highlighted in gold and shakudo, signed in a rectangular reserve, Tokyo ju Suzukui Masayoshi tsukuru
