A pair of Northern European Neoclassical parcel gilt mahogany 'Retour d'Egypte' console tables and mirrors
first quarter 19th century
Each mirror with a gilt banded architectural cornice centering a falcon winged scarab, representing Ra, above a rectangular plate within a mahogany frame with carved gilt rope twist bands ending in tassels, the consoles with verde antico marble tops above a single drawer flanked by gilt Pharaonic masks raised on boldly carved volute supports.
