A mother-of-pearl inlaid lacquer bowl
Joseon dynasty
The black lacquer ground of the flared rim inlaid with long-tailed beasts separating reserves of facing sparrows that reappear in the linked cloud-collar frames surrounding the exterior walls, the interior well and outside edge of the rim as well as the surface of the recessed foot finished in a silvery gray colored lacquer (small losses to inlay, wear and age cracks to lacquer).
