A pair of large cloisonné enamel vases
Meiji period
Each of lobed ovoid contour with s shallow sloping shoulder and wide mouth, decorated in colored enamels with small birds in flight amid leafy flowering vines conforming to the ten lobes and silhouetted against a bright pink ground with a dense scroll pattern, a band of blossoming iris encircling the base above a stylized floral band repeated on shoulder and rim.
