Two lacquer decorated four-case inro
19th century
The larger with a kinji ground decorated with red momiji and bugaku headdress amid scattered gagaku instruments, a large drum partially hidden by a curtain and swirling clouds, with a small bead ojime and carved wood figural netsuke (repair); the smaller decorated to the front with a pair of battling warriors in gold, silver and iro-e hiramakie, takamakie and kirikane on a roiro ground, with a glass bead ojime.
