A hardwood square stool
Late Qing/Repubic period
Its top constructed with a floating panel set into wide boards with an ice-plate edge above a short waist carved in relief with horizontal raised bars, the curving aprons with humpback profile carved with raised scrolls that continue as beading along the inside edge of each leg joined with simple stretches above the foot carved with a key-fret pattern (shrinkage, staining)
