Framed as four vertical wall panels, the twelve rectangular-shaped porcelain plaques depicting the twelve months of the year, each painted in soft-hued enamels of varied colors with a legendary figure in a garden setting, all with inscriptions, bearing the signature Wang Qi, dated wuchen (corresponding to 1928); each wood frame decorated with separately carved and applied shou characters, flowers, and other auspicious symbols (panel for month six repaired and retouched).
