A group of five jade decorations
The first an 18th century heather holder of mottled off-white matrix with deep russet patches, its face carved in delicate relief with five bats amid clouds (chips); the second a feather holder of off-white jade preserving a section of the russet-stained skin across its slightly curved face; the third a rectangular sectioned-bead with transverse oval drill hole, the four walls covered with leiwen meanders and of deep golden brown coloration; the fourth and fifth of similar rectangular section meant to recall the registers of decoration on archaic cong, the larger bead of off-white with russet-stained fissure lines, the smaller bead of richly mottled russet hue (portions possibly polished down).
