Consisting of a Satsuma-style pear-shaped vase decorated in gilt, white and polychrome enamels with two youthful heroes vanquishing a troop of skeletons silhouetted against a mottled brown ground with further raised decoration at the rim, neck and foot; one miniature eggplant-form jar with a waisted neck and applied with a 'peach-bloom' glaze and one brown-glazed miniature bottle with a high shoulder and sharply tapering above a flared foot, each signed Makuzu (Makuzu Kozan) in underglaze blue.
