Two Italian 800 standard silver oval footed salvers
Venice, 19th century
The larger with monogramme "AB" below a nine-point crown (width 12 1/2in); the smaller with engraved with the arms of the Orseolo family, each inscribed to the reverse "L.A. Stoiber"; together with two graduated small plated, various makers, Milan, 20th century, monogrammed "AS", total weight approximately 47oz troy (4).
Sold for US$ 1,125 inc. premium

  • It is possible that the smaller salver was made for for the Locanda Orseolo, or the Cavaletto e Doge Orseolo hotel in Venice.
