Footnotes

  • Julia, a traditional whaling schooner, can be distinguished by features such as two or three large whaling boats on deck, additional storage in the hold and blocks, and lifting gear used to haul parts of the whale aboard for processing. This model depicts Julia breaking free from her wintering location in an attempt to avoid oncoming polar bears.
