  • The steam coaster "Cordene" was built by Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson for William Corry & Sons in 1924. As one the the largest steam colliers in British service, the 284-foot "Cordene" traded between British coal ports of Newcastle, Swansea and the Biscayne ports of La Rochelle, la Pallice and Santander.
