Lot Details
A 10 x 12 inch studio view camera
American, circa 1870
with folding bellows, sliding focus adjustment, rising front movement, ground glass, film holder frame and fixed lens, mounted in a brass barrel. The lens is mounted on a removable wooden lens board. A cobalt blue filter is screwed to the rear element of the lens. The wooden elements of the camera are hand-crafted in mahogany, and all the hardware is made from brass.
