A russet jade 'chi dragon' plaque
Qing dynasty
Finely worked in reticulaton featuring two chi dragons contending over a sprig of lingzhi fungus, both mythical beasts naturalistically portrayed with curved and outstretched powerful limbs extending to bifurcated tails, both resting atop a bi disc worked with archaistic scrolls with a hollow cartouche in the centre, the attractive stone of a white and russet colour.
8.3cm wide.

    清 青玉雕雙螭銜靈芝掛牌

    玉質青色,大部分被黃褐沁色覆蓋全身。掛牌一面透雕兩螭龍盤旋回首,嘴裡同時銜一靈芝,另一面則雕一仿古玉璧,上淺浮雕飾變形夔龍紋。

    此掛牌於1994年5月3日從洛杉磯The Jade Collector獲得。
