Surgeon Stephen Jennings Swayne begins his service aboard HMS Agincourt as an Acting Surgeon serving from the 25th May 1805 and he is promoted to Acting Surgeon and then Surgeon, he leaves the ship on the 31st August 1807. He then serves on HMS Volage on 22nd July 1807 until the 1st June 1811. He then served on HMS Active from the 2nd June 1811 until the 11th June 1812. He then serves on HMS Seahorse on the 22nd September 1812 until the 12th September 1815, then Madagascar from 13th November 1815 to 31st September 1816. He then served on HMS Mander from the 1st November 1816 until the 21st March 1817, then to HMS Nimrod on the 22nd March 1817 to the 10th June 1818. He then serves on HMS Liffey from the 26th June 1818 until the 18th February 1819, then aboard HMS Active from the 19th February 1819 until the 6th May 1821. After this he serves from the 7th May until the 27th November 1831 however the records are illegible on his service details. From the 27th August 1833 until the 26th August 1835 he serves aboard HMS Ocean and finally aboard HMS Howe from the 27th August 1835 until the 7th October 1840.
