  • Colonel Richard Harte LLoyd was born on the 22nd February 1875 at Paddington, Middlesex. Lieutenant 28th January 1899; Captain 28th January 1902; Major 28th October 1910 Lieutenant Colonel 1st March 1915 Colonel 26th December 1923. Half Pay 26th December 1927. Retired Pay 7th January 1928. Ceased to be on the reserve of Officers on the 22nd February 1930. He died at Ashtead on 22nd December 1953.

    He served in South Africa from 1899-1905, then India from 1911-17. Mesoptamia from 1917-18. India 1918-19. Constantinople from June to October 1923. India 1923-27. Served as Honorary Surgeon to the Viceroy 15th May 1926.
