Crimea 1854-56, four bars, Alma, Balaklava, Inkermann, Sebastopol, regimentally impressed (Asst. Surgn. A.J.Greer 21st R.N.B.Fusiliers.); Turkey, Order of Medjidie, 5th Class breast badge, in gold, silver and enamel; Turkish Crimea, Sardinian issue, fitted with replacement ring suspension, engraved (Asst. Surgn. A.J.Greer 21st R.N.B. Fusiliers.). With silver buckles on ribands on each, and a set of corresponding miniatures. Light contact marks to the first, otherwise very fine. (3)


  • Surgeon Major Arthur Jackson Greer was born in Co.Tyrone on the 25th April 1831; Acting Assistant Surgeon 3rd July 1852; Assistant Surgeon Staff 23 July 1852; 21st Foot 23rd Nov 1852; Surgeon Staff 11th Sept 1860; 21st Foot (1st Battn) 22 Feb 1861; 17th Lancers 17th April 1867. Surgeon Major 17th Lancers 3rd July 1872; Army Medical Department Surgeon Major 3 July 1872. Retired on Half Pay with Hon rank of Deputy Surgeon General 7th July 1877. He died on the 3rd March 1887.
