    Wing Commander Bernard Taylor, M.B., B.S., D.P.H. first appears in the Royal Air Force List as a Flying Officer on the 15th July 1948; Flight Lieutenant, 7th September 1947; Squadron Leader, 7th September 1956; Wing Commander, 1 April 1962, serving on the Maintenance Command Staff of the Services from 20 September 1964. He dies in an accident on the 4th March 1968, aged 43.
