Private James Gilman was born and enlisted at Leek, Staffordshire. He died of wounds in France and Flanders on 30.9.1918, aged 28. He is buried at Grevillers British Cemetry. He was the husband of Florence Gilman of 19 Queen's Street, Leek, Staffordshire.
