I.M.S.); War Medal with M.I.D. Oakleaf; India Service Medal; Delhi Durbar 1911; Jubilee 1935; Coronation 1937. Medals court mounted as worn. Toned, very fine or better. (Lot)

    Major General Archibald Campbell Munro was born on the 26th October 1882; He was educated at Glasgow High School and Glasgow University; M.B. Ch.B. (Honours), 1908; M.D. 1911 Glas; Lieutenant 1st August 1908; Captain 1st august 1911; D.T.M. dist Lond.1914; Major 1 Feb 1920; D.P.H. Cantab 1923; Lt Col 1st Feb 1928. Col 1937; Major-General 1940. Served in France and Belgium from 6th Nov 1914 to 20th Nov 1916; Iraq, 23 Nov 1917 to 11th Nov 1918; Kurdistan 1919; Iraq 1919-20. Honorary Physician to the King 1939-43. Director of Medical Services, India, 1941. He retired in 1943. Articles in medical journals, United Services Journal of India and Scottish Geographcal Society's Journal.
