The first of executioner's type with long tapering double-edged pattern-welded blade with characteristic gandja, silver mendaq cut with brilliants, and stylised wooden Garuda hilt, in its wooden scabbard with characteristic sarongan and silver mounts between slender silver bands, the mounts embossed and chased with foliage against punched grounds on each side; the second of similar form, with slender waved double-edged blade; the third with waved pattern-welded blade of flattened diamond section, gilt-metal mendaq, and dark wood kingfisher hilt carved with foliage in low relief, in its wooden scabbard with sarongan; the third, fourth and fifth each with pattern-welded blade, and ivory Madura hilt carved in relief with foliage, one involving a winged horse on the front, and an eagle on the back, in their wooden scabbards each with brass pendoq variously engraved or embossed and chased with designs of foliage along the outside, one with carved sarongan; the sixth with waved pattern-welded blade cut with two fullers over most of its length on each side, gilt mendaq chased with foliage, and wooden Garuda hilt, in its wooden scabbard with figured sarongan; the last with slightly curved fullered blade (rust patinated overall), and silver-covered hilt chased with a trellised design above a band of foliage, in its two-piece wooden scabbard with silver mounts embossed and chased with foliage between slender silver bands engraved en suite (8)

A successful bidder at this sale will be required to pay Bonhams 1793 Limited ("Bonhams") a premium calculated as follows:
25% on the first £100,000 of the hammer price
20% on the excess of £100,001 and up to £2,000,000 of the hammer price
12% on the excess of £2,000,001 of the hammer price

VAT at 20% will be payable on the amount of the premium.

The premium is payable for the services to be provided by Bonhams in the Buyer's Agreement which is contained in the catalogue for this Sale and for the opportunity to bid for the Lot at the Sale.

Payment Notices
