With damascus twist dull grey barrels each with blued fore-sight, rifled with twelve grooves, signed in gold gothic letters along the top flat, and encrusted with engraved silver and gold tendrals within gold and silver line borders at the muzzle and breech, case-hardened breeches, tangs, locks, hammers and mounts all decorated en suite, the tangs and trigger-guards each involving crossed Ottoman banners, the mounts comprising ovoidal butt-caps each with hinged circular butt-trap cover with baluster terminal, and carrying a suspension ring at the rear, trigger-guards, trigger-plates each with pineapple-shaped finial, fore-end caps and barrel-bolt escutcheons, blued nipples, figured half-stocks carved in relief with rocailles and foliage, the carving on the butts against finely punched grounds, stirrup ramrods each engraved with a flower-head on the tip, and in unfired condition retaining all their dull grey finish throughout: in original rosewood-veneered case fitted and lined in green velvet with full accessories including white-metal mounted powder-flask with copper body, and case-hardened bullet mould, both in fine condition, the exterior of the lid with shaped brass escutcheon engraved with owner's initials 'F.M.' in gothic letters, and complete with its fabric-lined leather travelling cover (scuffed)
