An early 20th century six-piece German silver tea service including tray

Comprising: teapot, hot water pot, tea kettle-on-stand with burner, sugar bowl, cream jug and oval tray, each piece of baluster form with flaring rims, the bodies embossed with swirling flutes, the waisted incurved dome covers with similar swirl flutes terminating with stylised flower-bud finials, the ornate leafy-scroll handles with ebonised wood insulators, the kettle with ebonised wood knopped handle and pins, the stand raised on four ornate shell and scroll legs with ebonised wood disc feet, the other pieces raised on four similar shell embellished scroll feet, height of kettle on stand 43cm, weight total 248oz.
