A George III silver vinaigrette
by Ledsam & Vale, Birmingham 1819
Formed as a purse and hinging in half to reveal a foliate pierced hinged grille, gilt interior, width at widest point 2.5cm; together with two William IV vinaigrettes, the first, possibly by Thomas Shaw, Birmingham 1830, rectangular form with floral engraving, the hinged cover opening to reveal a pierced foliate hinged grille, gilt interior, length 2.9cm, the second, by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1835, rectangular form, machine-turned decoration, opening to reveal a pierced foliate hinged grille, gilt interior, engraved with initials length 4.5cm and a Victorian snuff box, by Francis Clark, Birmingham 1838, rectangular form with reeded body, the cover with central rectangular cartouche engraved with initials, hinged lid with gilt interior, length 6cm, weight 3.5oz.
