Plain shaped-oval form with gadrooned rims, leaf-capped scroll handles, each raised on three shell embellished stepped hoof feet, each engraved with a crest and a coat of arms, length 20cm, weight 25oz. (2)

  • The arms granted in 1774 to William Hull who assumed the surname of TONSON by royal licence in compliance with the will of Richard Tonson of Dunkettle.

    The engraved episcopal mitre appears to be incidental to this identification.
