by James Dixon & Son, Sheffield 1912 - 1916
Hemispherical form bodies, with lapet banded borders, the pots with shallow stepped slightly dome covers with flush hinges, cone finials on open-work leaf calyx, the kettle on stand with upswept wood handle, trifurcated leaf junction terminating with leaf-capped lion mask roundels, on a circular stand with elongated supports terminating on claw feet, teapot with similar mounted wood handle, the two handle sugar bowl and cream jug with bifurcated leaf scroll flying handles terminating with lion mask roundels, the two-handle oval tray with turned wood handles, the ends with lion mask roundels and leaf junctions, all pieces crested, height of kettle 29cm, length of tray handle to handle 59.5cm, weight total 139.5oz.
