A George II silver two-handled tea urn on stand
possibly by David White, see Grimwade's page 251, mark 3525, London 1759
Inverted baluster form with beaded rims, the waisted domed cover embossed with guilloche and bead bands and terminating in a banded flame finial, the beaded wrythen branch handles with embellished flowerheads, the beaded tap with applied climbing flowers and ivory thumbpiece, the waisted undulating base with beaded bands and embossed guilloche border, raised on four ornate leaf-capped scrolling feet between a foliate pierced skirting, crested, height 53cm, weight total 85.5oz.
