A William IV silver-gilt mounted malachite vinaigrette
possibly by Thomas Diller, London 1836
Rectangular form with curved corners, the cover inset with a plain malachite panel, the sides and base profusely engraved with foliate scrolls, the hinged grille ornately pierced in a similar manner, length 4.5cm, together with a George III ivory, tortoiseshell and gold toothpick box, English, circa 1790, the ivory body in the form of shield, with tortoiseshell banding and bright-engraved gold embellishments, the centre inset with a navette shaped panel of ribboned hair, length 8cm and a late 18th century pique-work snuff box, circa 1790, the rectangular tortoiseshell body with curved ends, the body inset with gold flowerheads and stars dot-engraved and bead borders, length 9.5cm.
