A late 17th century German parcel-gilt rummer/goblet
by Christoph Hieronymus Clauss, Nuremberg circa 1690
Squat and shallow bowl embossed and chased with fruit, flowers and two oval vignettes depicting a turreted castle in one and a hillside house in the other, the short stem chased with trailing foliage and terminating in a domed foot, height 10cm, weight 3oz.
