An impressive Victorian silver and parcel gilt ewer

The body of inverted baluster form, embossed with a central band of elongated lobed panels above alternating stylised acanthus leaves and flutes, the birfurcated openwork scroll handle embellished with a cast model of a Classical maiden, with beaded and embossed disc girdles, raised on a spreading circular foot, engraved with a presentation inscription, embossed with a stylised floral band, height 39.5cm, weight 37oz.
