A George III gold, enamelled, cut-steel and Jasperware mounted toothpick case

Rectangular with rounded ends, the cover with central ovoid Jasperware panel of St George slaying the dragon within a cut steel 'jewelled' frame on a royal blue translucent enamel ground flanked by two circular panels with similar frames, the gold hinge mount and side set with three bands of cut steel 'jewels,' the base with a blue enamelled panel over a linear and pellet engine-turned ground reflecting the cover mounts, the interior with mirror and green velvet lining, contained within original red leather carrying case, length 9.8cm.
