A rectangular 'dragon' carpet
Late Qing Dynasty, Jingren Gong bei yong inscription
Woven in shades of blue, yellow, pale violet and reddish-brown with a ferocious full-faced five-clawed dragon encircled by four smaller ones symmetrically placed above and below the main one amidst floral scrolls, surrounded by a narrow key-fret border within a band of the Eight Buddhist Emblems alternating with blooming flowers, with a five-character inscription Jingren Gong bei yong (for the use in the Palace of Great Benevolence) at the top.
