  • This work is likely to date from 1950 when William Crozier was in his second year at Glasgow School of Art.
    The painting shows the influence of Robert Colquhoun, whom he encountered for the first time in 1950.
    It is very possible that the painting was exhibited at the Carnegie Library, Ayr 1950-51 in Crozier's first professional exhibition.
