A pair of Dieppe 19th century ivory mirrors
each with an oval bevelled plate within a shaped stylised leaf frond and seaweed surround interspersed with winged cherubs, sea creatures, eagles and a Neptune mask, surmounted by a coronet and fleur du lys cresting, above the engraved motto: 'SGOTORUM', mounted on a backing, the plates probably later, 85.5cm high x 53.5cm wide, (2)

Label to the back of both mirrors with a retailers paper label reading: 'the Old Curiosity Shop', Memorandum, Alfred Palmer, dealer in antique furniture, old china, pictures and curiosities, TOMBLAND, Norwich.
Dated in written hand, June 1st 1891.
