A pair of Venetian style polychrome decorated and carved wood torchere stands
the male figure standing on the end of a gondola with an oar in one hand, the other hand raised above his head, on a square base on four paw feet, the female figure in an elaborately decorated drapery, with one hand behind her back the other raised above her head, on a square stepped base on four paw feet, 67cm high and 63.5cm high respectively.
