Footnotes

  • The first internationally active company founded by Heinrich Moser in 1828 was originally called the 'St. Petersburg trading company, H. Moser & Co'. The factory in Switzerland was opened the following year in 1829. Moser was well known for selling his work to the Russian Imperial Court, in Japan, China and Persia, but also in Paris and New York. Sadly the company ceased to trade in 1923 when Moser died. The Moser Schaffhausen AG watch company was founded in 2002. Dr. Jürgen Lange also registered the original H. Moser & Cie brand again internationally in the same year. The watches are still made in Switzerland and Moser continue to produce understated, good quality classical watches.
