Footnotes

  • Paul Buhre was a major watch brand in Tsarist Russia. After the Revolution foreign-owned assets were seized and the owners ceased trading with Russia. Existing parts stocks were assembled in the 1920's and exhausted by 1926. Paul Buhre continued producing watches in Switzerland, but with no connection to the USSR.
